A journey of discovery, learning, teaching, history, meeting, cooking… this is all about my food trail in finding out about what makes me ME!

Mauritian Hakka

Slowly diegesting “The Hakka Cookbook: Linda L Anusasananan” I realising that I’m going on a journey discovering history and buliding on the little hand me down knowledge of what mum has told me about grandad and his Hakka heritage. Reading this book I see some similarities in what mum cooks and many more new Hakka receipes I have never come across although the flavours are similar but ingredients as in vegetables that we don’t get in Mauritius are different.
